Real Live Girl Album Release Concert 9-10-2016 (Photo by Paula Stoeke)

Thank you to all who attended, assisted with, played and sang at the REAL LIVE GIRL Album Release Concert Event last week…  It was such a spectacular, fun, joyous celebration of music and friendship, I’m still basking in the afterglow!  The concert was not just SOLD OUT… it was OVER SOLD, with people filling every single seat in the theater as well as the aisles (don’t tell the Fire Marshall!).  I am humbled and deeply moved by all of you who came out in support of me and my music, and I hope you’re all enjoying the new album.

Special thanks to Mark Islam and Grassroots Acoustica Foundation for co-Producing the event, believing in me and being such ardent supporters of my music.  Thanks to Stephen Paley who took 700+ photos of the evening, some of which you will find on the GALLERY page.  Additional thanks to Joey Anderton and his video crew, who captured the evening on film… stay tuned for video clips as they are available!

A great big “thank you” to the stellar band who ROCKED THE HOUSE and made this Real Live Girl’s dream come true:

  • Carl Byron, Music Director, Piano, Keyboard & Accordion
  • Lynn Coulter, Drums & Percussion
  • Gregory Boaz, Upright & Electric Bass
  • Ido Sasson, Rhythm Electric & Acoustic Guitars
  • Billy Alexander, Electric Guitars
  • Don Teschner, Violin & Electric Viola (aka “chin cello”)
  • Shane & DeVonna Lawrence, Background Vocals

So much love and gratitude to the RLG Pit Crew who worked tirelessly behind the scenes for days, weeks and months before the show to make the Album Release Event such a success:

  • Lilia Arbona – Graphic Designer & Art Director
  • Yona Engel – Photographer
  • Heather Gillespie – Event/Production Coordinator
  • Linda Lapetino – Accountant/Board Member of Grassroots Acoustica
  • Beau Thetford – Sound Engineer
  • Maria Spassoff & Sara’h Gibson – Iris Whisperer and Cocktail Divas
  • Shelby Brage – Technical Support & Ticketing
  • Denise Tom – Ticketing Assistant & Goddess of Good Vibes
  • Michael Bolduc, Judy Maruffi, Kathy Dougherty & Julie Bolduc – Catering, Schlepping, Cleanup, and Levity
  • Larry Klickstein – My Sounding Board, Silent Partner, Super Glue, Emotional Rescue, Doer of a Million Little Details That Kept the Wheels on the Cart and, most importantly, My Love.

Thank you ALL for a magnificent evening … a befitting LAUNCH for the new album!  Enjoy the music – share REAL LIVE GIRL with your friends, relatives and co-workers, write a review on iTunes (if you’re so inclined), sing it in the shower, whistle while you work and get the word out… and check back here frequently for updates (new photos, new songs, reviews, video & happenings)!

Praise for REAL LIVE GIRL:

"... Smart, insightful and incisive lyrics ... attractive, engaging, sexy, and fresh." "... Real Live Girl finds a balance between that intellectual approach and a playful, flirtatious chorus." "... A strong, distinctive voice, with a lot of character and personality. Real Live Girl makes the most of that character, adding a vivacious quality..." " ... Very smart lyrics throughout ... very visual and sensuous." "... A wonderful, imaginative lyric tone that remains conversational while plumbing the dictionary’s depths." "There‘s no getting around it - lines like ’routine just seems a deadly kind of habitat for me" could’ve come out of a best-selling novel ..." "A voice like a prairie tornado ..." (LA Weekly)
