Jane Bolduc – “Real Live Girl”
by Steve Wagner

The title track of Jane Bolduc’s new CD might be the sexiest, most swaggerin’ protest song ever written. Over a groove that’s part Stones and part amped-up new country, she takes a stand for authentic—if imperfect—feminine beauty: “Don’t want collagen / won’t inject no restylane…don’t want silicone / thank you, but I’ll keep my own…I’m here to reveal the appeal of a real live girl.”

WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT!

Real Live Girl Album Release Concert 9-10-2016 (Photo by Paula Stoeke)

Thank you to all who attended, assisted with, played and sang at the REAL LIVE GIRL Album Release Concert Event last week…  It was such a spectacular, fun, joyous celebration of music and friendship, I’m still basking in the afterglow!  The concert was not just SOLD OUT… it was OVER SOLD, with people filling every single seat in the theater as well as the aisles (don’t tell the Fire Marshall!).  I am humbled and deeply moved by all of you who came out in support of me and my music, and I hope you’re all enjoying the new album.

Special thanks to Mark Islam and Grassroots Acoustica Foundation for co-Producing the event, believing in me and being such ardent supporters of my music.  Thanks to Stephen Paley who took 700+ photos of the evening, some of which you will find on the GALLERY page.  Additional thanks to Joey Anderton and his video crew, who captured the evening on film… stay tuned for video clips as they are available!
